Day 32 – Notting Hill Walking Tour: The Movie District in Real Life

Today I joined a Notting Hill walking tour using the Go City Pass.
No schedules to manage, no complicated tickets—just show the QR code and walk in.

The Tour Overview

The group gathered near Notting Hill Gate Station, led by a cheerful local guide.
Participants came from different countries.
The guide pointed out locations from the film Notting Hill and explained how the area has changed over the years.

From Portobello Road Market to colorful side streets, every corner looked straight out of a postcard.
Even the famous blue door and travel bookshop still exist, preserved for tourists and locals alike.

What Makes Notting Hill Unique

Unlike central London, Notting Hill feels calm and residential.
Pastel-colored houses line the narrow streets, and cafés spill music onto the sidewalks.
But the price tags tell another story—apartments here start around £2 million.

Still, the area maintains its charm: vintage markets, flower shops, and the quiet hum of expensive cars passing by.

Summary

  • Joined the Go City Notting Hill Tour
  • Met travelers from around the world
  • Visited film locations from Notting Hill
  • Discovered how luxury and nostalgia coexist in one neighborhood

Next: moving from movie sets to real city views.
